Inward Mission from Somalia
  • The Export Council for Medical Industries organized a buyers’ mission from Somalia from March 27 to 29, 2018, in Cairo, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Industry. ECMI organized over 400 bilateral meetings between 33 Egyptian and 14 Somali companies at the National Training Institute.

Inward Mission from Dubai and Muscat
  • ECMI organized a buyers’ mission from the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, on April 18-19, 2018, at Sonesta Hotel in Cairo. The mission aimed to strengthen economic, trade, and political relations among these countries and to further increase Egyptian exports to the Gulf countries in the sectors of human and veterinary medicines, medical supplies, and cosmetics.
  • More than 500 B2B meetings were held between Egyptian companies and their counterparts from Dubai and Muscat.
  • ECMI organized a visit to Amoun factory and held a meeting with Dr. Ahmed Emad, Former Minister of Health and Population to discuss ways of cooperation between Egypt and the UAE.
Trade Mission to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan
  • Representatives from ECMI participated in an exploratory trade mission to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan from March 1-8, 2019, to explore these markets in the three medical sectors (pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and cosmetics).
  • The Industrial Modernization Center organized bilateral meetings between representatives of the Export Council and companies in both Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, in addition to holding meetings with government agencies in these countries.
Inward Mission from 7 African Countries
  • ECMI organized a buyers’ mission in the pharmaceutical and medical supplies sectors, including 25 companies from 7 African countries: Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, South Africa, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania. The mission took place from October 27 to 29, 2019, at Hilton Heliopolis Hotel in Cairo.
  • The mission was organized under the auspices of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Former Minister of Trade and Industry Eng. Amr Nassar.
  • More than 1000 Bilateral meetings were held over the two days.
  • The African side praised the excellent organization and coordination provided prior to the mission regarding air tickets, accommodation, and visa facilitation. They also commended the excellent organization of the exhibition, the competence of the Egyptian companies, the quality of their products, and the level of development achieved by Egyptian companies.
  • The 33 participating Egyptian companies expressed their happiness with the African companies, describing them as serious companies who aspire to genuine cooperation with Egyptian companies. The Egyptian companies also praised the efforts made by the Export Council in organizing the mission.

Medexpo Tanzania
  • ECMI organized the Egyptian pavilion in Medexpo exhibition that was held in February 2022 in Tanzania. 26 Egyptian manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and medical supplies sectors participating in the exhibition. ECMI succeeded to make Egypt the Guest of Honor in the exhibition.
  • Representatives from TMDA, MSD and ministry of investment visited the Egyptian pavilion and had fruitful meetings with the Egyptian exhibitors.
Medexpo Kenya
  • ECMI organized the Egyptian pavilion in Medexpo exhibition that was held in June 2022 in Kenya. 21 Egyptian manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and medical supplies sectors participating in the exhibition.
Inward mission from Arab and African countries
  • ECMI organized a buyer mission from Arab and African countries in the pharmaceutical, medical supplies, and cosmetics sectors. The mission included 49 companies from 11 Arab and African countries: Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Tunisia, Yemen, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, and Somalia. The mission was held from December 18 to 20, 2022, in Cairo. The mission was organized under the auspices of the Minister of Trade and Industry, Eng. Ahmed Samir.
  • More than 1900 B2B meetings were held at the Hilton Heliopolis Hotel on December 18 and 19, 2022, with each meeting lasting half an hour.
  • Some Arab and African companies have signed contracts with some Egyptian companies during the mission.

Arab Health 2025
  • 51 Egyptian manufacturers participated in Arab Health from 27 to 30 January 2025 in Dubai World Trade Centre. The Egyptian manufacturers are keen to exhibit annually in Arab Health. The Egyptian sectors are medical supplies & devices, medical and laboratory furniture.

Medlab 2025

11 Egyptian manufacturers participated in Medlab from 6 to 9 February 2025 in Dubai World Trade Centre. The Egyptian manufacturers are keen to exhibit annually in Medlab. The Egyptian sectors are laboratory equipment and furniture.

Africa Health ExCon 2025
  • Within the framework of the “Together to Export” initiative launched by the ECMI to enhance medical exports to all target markets and access new ones.
  • ECMI was keen to participate for the first time in the 4th edition of Africa Health ExCon, which was held from June 24 to 27, 2025, at Egypt International Exhibition Center. 24 Egyptian medical companies participated in ECMI’s booth which covers medical supplies and devices, medical furniture, and laboratory products. The objective is to increase Egyptian medical exports in these sectors to the target African countries. This will be achieved by enhancing the trade and exporting fully manufactured products, or through investment cooperation and joint manufacturing by exporting semi-finished products and completing their manufacturing in African countries.
  • During the exhibition, ECMI organized successful B2B meetings between the Egyptian manufacturers and the visitors from Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda, Niger, Zambia and Mauritius.
Missions to 5 African countries
  • In the framework of the visit of Dr. Badr Abdelaty – Minister of Foreign Affairs to Senegal, Nigeria, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger to enhance the trade cooperation between Egypt and these countries from 21 to 25 July 2025. The chairman of ECMI participated in that visit where he meets the ministries of health and the agents in the medical sectors.
Brazil workshop

ECMI organized to the Egyptian manufacturers in the medical supplies & devices sector a workshop on 30 July 2025 on how to access the Brazilian market and presented the roadmap for the medical sector in the Brazilian market.
